My primary research interest is Sunni Jihadism, its intricacies, personalities, and history. For the past six years, I have taken a deep dive studying conflict within the Jihadi movement. That involved an elaborate digital anthropological methodology closely tracking groups and individuals, collecting material, observing debates, engaging with Jihadis, and updating databases.
Ongoing projects:
I am currently engaged in several larger research projects focusing on militant Islamism in Africa and terrorism convicts in the West. On the side, I am also working on two book manuscripts, one of them based on my PhD research
